Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

06:00 am / 1:00 pm – Departure
Start your outback adventure either at 6 am in Alice Springs or at 1 pm at Ayers Rock Airport. Enjoy the impressive landscapes of the Red Center on the drive to Uluru.

Afternoon – Uluru Cultural Center – Kata Tjuta
Visit the cultural center to learn more about the history of the Aboriginal people and the spiritual significance of Uluru.

Late afternoon – Guided walk at Uluru
Explore the majestic rock on a guided walk at the foot of Uluru and discover some of the most famous places up close.

Sunset
Experience one of the most spectacular sunsets in the world and toast with your travel group over a glass of sparkling wine.

Evening – Dinner and Camp
Enjoy a delicious dinner at camp and then relax in your swag under the clear starry sky of the outback – some of the brightest stars in the world await you.

Early morning – sunrise at Uluru
Get up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to Kata Tjuta. Experience the breathtaking sunrise at Uluru and the spectacular view of the surrounding area.

Morning – Hike in the Valley of the Winds
Take a hike through the famous Valley of the Winds, past narrow gorges and towering cliffs, and enjoy the impressive landscape.

Lunch – picnic in the desert
Take a break in the middle of the desert for a refreshing lunch and recharge your batteries for the afternoon.

Afternoon – George Gill Range
Travel on through the outback and admire the breathtaking views of the George Gill Range.

Evening – Camp at Kings Creek Station
Set up camp at Kings Creek Station, enjoy an authentic Australian BBQ around the campfire and end the day under the clear starry sky of the outback.

Morning – Breakfast and Kings Canyon
Start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading to the stunning Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park.

Morning – Rim Walk
Explore the famous Rim Walk, a 6km hike along the canyon rim, taking in spectacular views of the vast desert landscape.

Midday – Garden of Eden
Stop off at the Garden of Eden desert oasis, a beautiful place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Afternoon – Return to Alice Springs
After an eventful day, we return to Alice Springs while you reminisce about the breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable adventures.

Where we’ll meet

Pick-ups are possible from selected accommodations. A departure from Ayers Rock is also possible. Pick-up is at 1 pm from the airport

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure will incur an administration fee of 3%.
  • If you cancel between 21 and 59 days before the start of your trip, a fee of 25% will be charged.
  • Cancellations between 8 and 20 days prior to departure are subject to a 50% fee.
  • Cancellations made 7 days or less before departure will incur a 100% charge.

Experience FAQs

You should bring at least 2 liters of water per person for the tour (3 liters in the hot months), as you can refill on the way. Also important: a hat, sturdy shoes for hiking, swimwear for the summer, a towel (which can also be used as a carpet pad), a small bag for personal items, toiletries, a sleeping bag (can also be rented), camera, insect repellent including a fly net, warm clothing for cool desert evenings and a pillow or improvised alternative, e.g. a rolled-up sweater.

It can get colder at night depending on the time of year. In winter, temperatures can drop to 0 °C, while in summer they are usually around 20 °C. Check the weather forecast before the tour so that you have the right clothing.

You should plan at least 2 liters of water per person, in the hot months at least 3 liters. You can refill your bottle at various points along the way.

We can cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten or lactose free diets. Please note that this is a camping tour, so some common foods may not be available. Please indicate any special requirements when booking.

There can be a lot of flies in the summer months. It is recommended that you take a fly net with you.

There are daily hikes of varying length and difficulty. On the first day at Uluru, there are walks of up to 9.4 km or shorter options such as Kantju Gorge or Mutitjulu Waterhole. On the second day in Kata Tjuta, the Valley of the Winds Walk is moderately challenging, alternatively there is the Walpa Gorge Walk. On the third day at Kings Canyon, the Rim Walk leads over the edge of the canyon, with easier alternatives such as the Kings Creek Walk or South Wall Walk. Your guide will help you choose the right route for your fitness and energy levels.

Yes, then you will be picked up at the airport at 1 pm. This tour only ends in Alice Springs.
