Please note the luggage limit of 15 kg (only one soft bag + daypack). We recommend a sleeping bag (or book in advance), travel pillow, refillable water bottle, light clothing in an onion look, sturdy closed shoes, sandals, bath towels/towels, headgear, sunscreen, sunglasses, headlamp/torch, camera with spare batteries and a selection of spare shoes if necessary. It can get very cold at night in the dry season, but very hot during the day – so bring suitable clothing for both extremes. Please do without unnecessary valuables.

Yes, if you let us know your requirements at the time of booking. It is difficult to get special products in remote regions after the start of the trip. Please be aware that you may have to pay a surcharge if we are not informed in advance. Basically, the food on the tour is simple, but plentiful and delicious.

A good basic level of fitness is required. There are many hikes of between 3 and 9 km, sometimes over uneven terrain, in high temperatures and with water passages. Extreme temperatures (hot during the day, cold at night) can also be a challenge. The organizer reserves the right to assess the fitness of the participants.

Not at all! Many guests are single travelers and enjoy the exchange within the group. Overnight stays are sometimes in the open air, sometimes in a shared room with a fellow traveler of the same sex. If you would like more privacy, you can often book a single room for an extra charge. If you have any special requests regarding the room layout (e.g. with regard to your gender), please let us know when booking – we will find a suitable solution.
