What should I take with me?
Please pack everything in a soft, small bag (no suitcases or bags with wheels). We recommend taking the following with you: Swimwear Towel(s) Sunscreen Lip balm Sunglasses Hat Rain jacket Sweater or sweatshirt (in the cooler months) Sandals, jandals or sneakers for island hikes Toiletries Prescribed medication There are no stores on the islands, so you should pick up essentials, drinks and snacks at the marina before you leave.
Can I bring my own drinks?
The Broomstick Whitsundays is a BYO boat, which means you are allowed to bring your own alcoholic drinks and other beverages on board (no glass or red wine please). Filtered drinking water is included throughout the tour, so please bring a water bottle to refill – this will also save you plastic bottles. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are also included. However, for safety reasons, no hot drinks are served while the boat is sailing or circumnavigating the islands.
I am not an experienced swimmer. Can I still take part in the tour?
Don’t worry – we provide additional swimming aids if required. Before entering the water, we carry out a risk assessment for each guest. While you are in the water, the small dinghy stays close by and staff are always on visual watch. In the Whitsundays, the reefs we visit are usually close to the beach, making it easy to return to the beach.
Can I take my large suitcase with me?
Large bags and suitcases may not be taken on board. However, luggage storage services are available at most accommodations in Airlie Beach.
