Start your adventure in the remote capital Perth and make your way north to the natural paradise of Western Australia. Hike along the Murchison River and enjoy the spectacular view through the ‘window of nature’.

Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Start your adventure with a guided tour of the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. Lunch break by the sea in Jurien Bay, then along the Indian Ocean Drive with breathtaking coastal views. Stop at Pink Lake (if possible) and continue to the coastal town of Kalbarri, where we spend the night.

Get up early for a magical sunrise at Nature’s Window or Kalbarri Skywalk. Explore Murchison Gorge and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park. Lunch at the legendary Billabong Roadhouse, then visit the stromatolites at Shark Bay. Overnight stay in Monkey Mia on the beach.

Meet the famous dolphins of Monkey Mia and enjoy some time on the beach. Continue to the cliffs of Eagle Bluff with spectacular views of Denham. Walk along the shell beach, then continue to your accommodation in Coral Bay on Ningaloo Reef.

Day at leisure in Coral Bay: relax on the beach, snorkel at Ningaloo Reef or take an optional whale shark or humpback whale swimming tour. Visit to the Vlamingh Head lighthouse at sunset.

Explore the Cape Range National Park with its limestone ranges, deep gorges and pristine beaches. Snorkeling in Turquoise Bay or free time in Exmouth, e.g. pool or village visit. Optional further sea adventures at Ningaloo Reef.

Drive to Carnarvon, visit seasonal banana or mango plantations, lunch on the riverbank and photo stop at the Murchison River. Last overnight stay in Geraldton with dinner at the Murchison Tavern.

Visit the HMAS Sydney Memorial and enjoy the view of Geraldton. Walk on the 3-bay walk at Green Head, then sand dune adventure at Lancelin. Return to Perth in the late afternoon, arriving around 18:00.

  • Cancellations between 1 day and 7 days before the start date will incur a fee of 50%.

Children from the age of 6 can take part in the tour, it is not suitable for babies or children under the age of 6. Children between the ages of 6 and 17 must be accommodated in a private standard room and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

A medium to high level of fitness is required. The daily hikes are 2-3 km over partly steep, rocky terrain in direct sunlight and high humidity (approx. 8 km in total). Participation is at the discretion of the guide. A medical certificate is required for guests over 70 years of age (30 days before the start of the trip).

Yes, please inform us of any dietary requirements or medical conditions at the time of booking or at least a few days before departure so that we can make appropriate arrangements.

Most meals are prepared by the guides or occasionally provided by the accommodation. We endeavor to accommodate most diets, but once the tour begins, options are limited. Guests help prepare, clean up and load/unload, which also facilitates interaction with fellow travelers.

Yes, the fees for Nambung, Kalbarri, Monkey Mia and Cape Range National Parks are included in the tour price. Park passes cannot be purchased separately by guests.

Accommodation varies depending on the room type booked: Basic Dormitory for adults 18+ only, private double/twin or single rooms for adults and children. Nights and accommodation: Night 1 – Kalbarri Backpackers or Pelicans Nest, Night 2 – RAC Monkey Mia Resort, Night 3 – Ningaloo Coral Bay Resort, Night 4 & 5 – Potshot Hotel Resort, Night 6 – Geraldton on the Foreshore.

We recommend small, soft bags for the night and hand luggage, as storage space is limited. Large suitcases can be left at the hotel. The tour is not suitable for people with wheelchairs, walking aids or baby carriages.

The weather can be extreme, with daytime highs above 40 °C and strong temperature fluctuations in the evening. Please check the average temperatures for your travel period and pack accordingly. In the event of rain or bad weather, the tour will usually still take place.
