How old do you have to be to skydive in Australia?
The minimum age for skydiving in Australia is 16 years. Participants under the age of 18 require a written declaration of consent from their parents or legal guardian.
Are there any weight restrictions?
The maximum weight for tandem jumps is 115 kg. For safety and equipment reasons, there is a surcharge for jumps over 95 kg: 95-99 kg +25 $, 100-109 kg +50 $, 110-115 kg +100 $.
What physical requirements do I need to meet?
In principle, most healthy people can take part – even senior citizens over 80. The important thing is that you can lift your legs when landing and have no serious health restrictions. Our team reserves the right to refuse participation after assessing your age, weight and health. If you are unsure, we recommend contacting us in advance.
Are photos or videos included?
No, these can be added as an option when booking or at check-in. Friends and family can photograph and film you from the ground, as the take-off and landing areas are right next to the lounge area.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. It is usually cooler at altitude. Sturdy, closed shoes are mandatory (sneakers are ideal). Flip-flops or open shoes are not permitted. If you wear glasses, you will be provided with special goggles. Don’t forget to empty all your pockets before the jump.
How long does the experience last?
Allow around 3-6 hours for the entire experience including transfer. Self-arrivals require approx. 1-2 hours. After check-in, there is a safety briefing (approx. 10 minutes), 20 minutes of climbing, 60 seconds of free fall and 5-7 minutes of parachute flight. Please note that there may be delays due to weather or traffic conditions.
Can friends and family watch?
Yes, companions are welcome and can watch the take-off and landing at close range. Please note: For bookings with transfer, seats for companions cannot be guaranteed.
How many people can jump at the same time?
This depends on the type of aircraft, weight and group size. As a rule, 2-6 people jump per flight. We will let you know on site who is on the same plane with you and try to accommodate group requests.
Can I use my own GoPro?
No, according to Australian Parachute Federation rules, only licensed jumpers with over 100 jumps are allowed to use a camera during the jump. We offer professional photo and video packages so you can capture your experience.
