It’s all about getting into the water and experiencing the fascinating underwater world up close – exciting, exotic and simply breathtaking!

Thanks to exclusive permits, Silverswift will take you to three unique, ecologically diverse reef sites that are selected on a daily basis according to the best conditions. Dive or snorkel in secluded spots that few other visitors see.

In between water adventures, you can relax on the sun decks or unwind in the air-conditioned lounges before fortifying yourself with a delicious lunch buffet – perfect for hungry adventurers.

Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Check-in
Check-in at the Silverswift counter at the Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns.

08:30 – Departure
Departure from the Reef Fleet Terminal towards the Outer Reef. On board the briefings for divers & snorkelers begin.

09:50 – First reef spot
Arrival at the first diving and snorkeling spot. Time to explore before continuing to the next reef.

11:15 a.m. – Second reef spot
Continue to the second reef spot with briefing during the trip.

12:30 – Lunch break
Tropical buffet with hot and cold dishes in the air-conditioned lounge.

13:40 – Third reef spot
Last stop for snorkeling or diving at another carefully selected reef.

14:15 – Afternoon tea
Enjoy tea, coffee and snacks on board.

15:00 – Boarding & return journey
All passengers back on board, final count and return journey to Cairns.

16:30 – Arrival in Cairns
Return to the Reef Fleet Terminal. Then transfer back to your accommodation (approx. 16:15-16:30).

The Great Barrier Reef is not a deep-sea destination. Most of the dive sites are at a depth of 10-25 m, which provides perfect light conditions for colorful corals and great photos.

No – our reef sites are perfect for snorkeling and diving. Thanks to the large sun deck and hydraulic platform, both activities can take place at the same time without disturbing each other.

Departure at 8:30 am from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. Return to Cairns around 16:30 hrs.

Yes – a hot & cold buffet is served on board (at the second reef spot). Also included: Morning tea with focaccia, muffins & cake Afternoon tea with cake, cheese & crackers on the return journey

Our crew speaks several languages, but we cannot guarantee a specific language on every day. Please contact our office in advance if you have any special requirements.

Yes – standard masks magnify objects under water by approx. 25 %. In addition, we offer a limited selection of masks with corrective lenses free of charge (please enquire about the availability of specific strengths in advance).

Yes, children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. We recommend that they are water-savvy. Babysitting on board is not available. Minimum age for diving: 12 years.
