Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Your reef adventure begins with boarding the award-winning superyacht Evolution. The professional diving team will welcome you and prepare you for an eventful day.

During the trip, you will enjoy the comfort of the 35-meter luxury catamaran and the view of the glittering sea before reaching two exclusive reef locations – for example Norman, Saxon or Hastings Reef. These spots are selected daily for the best conditions for visibility and marine life.

At the first reef stop, you have time to snorkel or dive (optional at an extra charge). Beginners also receive a comprehensive introduction so that everyone can safely experience the colorful underwater world.

Between the reef stops, a freshly prepared BBQ lunch awaits you on board with fish, steak, prawns and salads. Then it’s on to the second reef, where you can snorkel again, dive or book an optional semi-submersible tour.

A special highlight is the 10-minute helicopter tour (weather permitting), where you can see the Great Barrier Reef from a bird’s eye view – an unforgettable moment.

On the way back to Cairns, you can relax, enjoy a glass of wine and a light afternoon snack and reflect on the day before arriving in port in the late afternoon.

Check-in is at the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Check-in: 7:15 – 7:45 am Departure: 8:00 am Return: approx. 16:30 pm

There are several parking options near the Reef Fleet Terminal. We recommend the parking lots at the Pier Shopping Complex/Shangri-La Hotel or at Trinity Wharf (daily rate approx. AUD 3-15).

Rain in Cairns does not automatically mean rain on the reef. It is usually clear there. If the weather is really unsuitable, we will be happy to help you rebook the tour (subject to availability).

We have 12 exclusive moorings on six different reefs. The crew selects two spots with the best visibility and weather conditions on a daily basis – usually Norman Reef, Saxon Reef or North Hastings Reef.

You spend around 5 hours on the Outer Reef, which gives you plenty of time to snorkel, dive and relax.

A freshly prepared BBQ lunch with steak, fish, prawns, vegetarian and vegan options and tropical salads. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements at least 48 hours before departure.

Yes, an optional 10-minute sightseeing flight over Hastings Reef is possible on this tour (max. 130 kg per person, seats allocated according to weight). The helicopters usually have 6 seats.

Swimsuit, towel, hat, sunscreen, spare clothes, credit card or cash for additional purchases. You must wear swimwear under the stinger suit.
