Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type.

Start on the beach
Your tour begins right on the beautiful beach in Byron Bay. There you’ll meet your team, be assigned to two-person kayaks and receive a brief introduction to paddling our stable sit-on-top kayaks.

Out to sea
Then it’s off into the water: together you paddle through the surf out to sea – a real sense of achievement right from the start! Out on the ocean, you’ll learn exciting stories about Aboriginal culture and sacred sites. You’ll glide past the surfing mecca of The Pass, along the Wategos Beach Villas to the easternmost point of Australia – the famous Cape Byron.

Out and about on the water
Enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery and the view up to the almost 120-year-old Cape Byron Lighthouse, which towers majestically over the bay. With a bit of luck, you might spot playful dolphins, sea turtles or – in season – even humpback whales.

Back to the beach
On the way back to the main beach, you can once again experience the full beauty of the Byron Coast. If you like, you can even learn to surf a wave in a kayak and glide back to land in style.

Unforgettable memories
At the end, you’ll not only take home great photos, but also unique moments – paddling with dolphins, turtles and maybe even whales in Byron Bay.
