Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Perth – Pinnacles – Lancelin – Kalbarri
Pick up at 7:30 am at the Beaufort Street tourist bus stop (near WA Museum). Stopovers on the way north, including sandboarding in Lancelin. Then visit to the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. Arrival at our accommodation with time at leisure.
Overnight stay: Dormitories

Kalbarri & Pink Lake
The spectacular Kalbarri coast awaits you today. Marvel at the glowing pink Hutt Lagoon and keep an eye out for migrating whales in season. Free time in Kalbarri before we end the day with a typical Australian BBQ.

Kalbarri National Park – Shark Bay
We hike into the impressive Z-Bend Gorge, visit Nature’s Window and the new Skywalk with its magnificent views. After lunch we head into the outback towards Shark Bay, stopping en route at Shell Beach and (if open) Hamelin Pool.
Overnight stay: Monkey Mia Resort (dormitories)

Monkey Mia – Outback Sheep Station
Early morning encounter with the famous dolphins of Monkey Mia. Continue to Eagle Bluff with chances of spotting sharks and other animals. In the evening, spend the night at a rustic Sheep Station, where you can experience the outback starry sky – even outside under the open sky if you wish.
Overnight stay: Shearer accommodation, double room (no upgrade)

Coral Bay – Ningaloo Reef – Exmouth
Passing the Tropic of Capricorn, we reach Coral Bay. Ningaloo Reef lies just off the coast here – perfect for optional activities such as snorkeling, glass-bottom boat tours or an eco-tour with manta rays (lunch included). Continue to Exmouth.
Overnight stay: Potshot Resort (dormitories, pools, bars, restaurants)

Exmouth & Cape Range National Park
Free day with many options: Whale shark swim (seasonal, optional), dive charter or free discovery tour to Cape Range & Turquoise Bay. Opportunity to snorkel directly on the reef. Visit to the Vlamingh Head lighthouse with panoramic views. The 6-day tour ends in Exmouth in the afternoon. Return travelers stay overnight again at the Potshot Resort.

Exmouth – Carnarvon
Start of the return journey towards Perth. Photo stop at the termite mounds, walk along the Carnarvon Foreshore.
Overnight stay: Geraldton (dormitories)

Geraldton – Perth
Last leg south with a stop at the famous Leaning Trees of Greenough. Return to Perth around 2 pm at the Beaufort Street tourist bus stop.

Experience FAQs

The price includes all transfers, accommodation in dormitories, national park entrance fees, sandboarding and the meals included in the itinerary. An experienced guide accompanies you at all times and ensures safety and fun.

Luggage is limited to a maximum of 20 kg plus a small piece of hand luggage or a daypack to ensure that everyone has a comfortable journey.

You should bring a towel, toiletries, swimwear, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses so that you are well prepared for all activities.

Our guests come from all over the world – mainly from Europe, North America, Australia and occasionally also from Asia or South America.

There is no upper age limit, but you should be fit and open to an easy way of traveling. Anyone aged 12 and over can take part, younger children are excluded.

Yes, breakfast consists of muesli and toast, for lunch there are wraps or sandwiches and in the evening we cook for the group, whereby help is only expected with the washing up.

An upgrade to a single, double, twin or family room is possible from AUD 450-650, depending on the tour. Except for the overnight stay on the outback farm, where everyone sleeps in twin-share rooms.
