Meeting point is the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns from 7:15 am.

Boarding starts at 7:30 am, and at 8:00 am the air-conditioned 16.5 m sailing ship Ocean Free departs from finger 4 of the Marlin Marina. Coffee, tea, fresh fruit and Danish pastries are served during embarkation.

The Ocean Free glides relaxed over the sea and reaches Pinnacle Reef after around 2 hours – only around 1 km east of Green Island. Lively coral gardens in shallow, sheltered water await you there.

You have 4½ hours at your disposal between Pinnacle Reef and Green Island – ideal for snorkeling, diving, swimming or relaxing. Thanks to the exclusive mooring, you are largely undisturbed. Optional guided snorkeling tours, intro diving with a 2:1 instruction ratio or guided dives for licensed divers are available. Equipment, life jackets, wetsuits and masks (also with prescription) are also included.

Enjoy a sumptuous smorgasbord buffet, including smoked salmon, prawns, meat and poultry platters, salads, fresh bread, tropical fruit, cheese, crackers and cakes.

After lunch, a tender will take you to the island. You are free to decide how long you want to stay there – to relax on the beach, for a walk through the rainforest (boardwalks available) or optionally for excursions such as glass-bottom boat, semi-sub or a visit to Marineland Melanesia (crocodiles & turtles) – payable locally.

In the afternoon, it’s time to cast off again: the engine is switched off (if possible) – real sailing with a tailwind! At the end of the day, there will be a glass of wine and a dessert selection of fruit, cheese, crackers and cake. Return to Cairns is planned for around 17:00, depending on the wind.
