About this experience

When we say Cape Trib, we also mean crocodile cruise – it’s an unforgettable experience to see these ancient creatures in the wild on the mighty Daintree River. To have the best chance of sightings, we base our daily schedule on the tides. Some days we start in the morning with a stop in Port Douglas, others in the afternoon.

Numerous breathtaking stops await you along the way: we walk over wooden walkways to explore the dense rainforest and take you to a secret, crocodile-free swimming hole in the middle of the jungle – an exclusive place that only we visit.

Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

For over 20 years, Uncle Brian’s has been delighting visitors with unique rainforest and waterfall tours. Music, good food, fun and impressive nature make this day unforgettable. Your driver is just as enthusiastic as you are – because he loves to show you “his garden”.

Port Douglas
First stop in Port Douglas: stroll along the famous 4 Mile Beach, take a refreshing dip, enjoy a morning tea and get to know your fellow travelers.

Crocodile tour
On the subsequent Daintree River Cruise, you will go in search of wild saltwater crocodiles. Our tour is timed with the tides to give you the best chance of spotting them.

Rare animals & rainforest
We cross the Daintree River by ferry and immerse ourselves in one of the oldest rainforests in the world. With a bit of luck, we may encounter the rare cassowary – an almost dinosaur-like bird.

Lunch & beach time
Time for a lunch break: grab something to eat and enjoy some relaxing beach time.

Swimming in the rainforest
After lunch, a tropical freshwater stream in the middle of the rainforest awaits you – the perfect opportunity for a refreshing swim.

Viewpoints & return journey
On the way home, we stop at two spectacular viewpoints before heading back to civilization with good music.
