Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Your adventure starts at 9:00am at the award-winning Coral Sea Marina. First you’ll head to Tongue Bay, where you’ll spend time at the famous Whitehaven Beach and take a guided hike to Hill Inlet Lookout – perfect for photographing the iconic swirling sandbars.

The tour then continues to the northern part of the Whitsundays, where two snorkeling stops await you on the colourful reefs of Mantaray Bay and Stone Haven Bay. Here you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters and impressive marine diversity.

You return to the Coral Sea Marina at around 17:00.

Experience FAQs

Please bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel and a hat. Practical clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended – in the winter months a jacket or warmer layers are best. A rain or windbreaker can be useful on windy days.

The standard meeting point is the Red Cat Adventures Shop in the main street of Airlie Beach at 8:20 am. The boat departs from the north end of Coral Sea Marina (Meeting Point B) at 9:00am and returns around 5:00pm. If you are coming to the marina yourself, please check in at the meeting point at 8:30 am. Punctuality is important as the boat departs on time at 9:00 am.

Parking spaces are available directly at the Coral Sea Marina and are charged per day.

Children are welcome on this tour: Participants between the ages of 2 and 14 can join the tour without any problems. Children under the age of 2 must be registered before departure and require their own life jacket. Babies under the age of one must remain in a baby carrier with a parent during the entire tour.
