Skydive Great Ocean Road
Experience FAQs
When is the best time for my jump?
We recommend that you jump as early as possible in the day. This increases the chance that your jump can take place, as weather conditions can change during the day.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, the minimum age for a tandem skydive in Australia is 16. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the day of the jump.
Is there a maximum weight?
Yes, weight plays a major role in skydiving. From 94 kg (including clothing and shoes) there is a surcharge. The exact limits vary depending on the drop zone – you will be weighed at check-in and receive the information directly from the tandem master.
Do you offer photo and video packages?
Yes, you can buy photos and videos when you book online or directly at the jump site. They will be sent to you by email on the same day – perfect for sharing your experience immediately.
What should I wear?
It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing such as sportswear, jeans or jogging pants and closed sports shoes. In winter, we recommend warm clothing, gloves and a jacket, as it can be very cold at 15,000 feet.
When do I have to be at the drop zone?
Please be there exactly at the time of your booked appointment – not earlier, but definitely not too late. Allow a little more time for parking and traffic in central locations.
What happens when the weather is bad?
Don’t worry – if the weather is unsuitable on the day of the jump, we will postpone your jump to another date. We always decide on the day whether we can jump, as forecasts are often unreliable.
