Experience FAQs
Do I have to take part in all activities?
No – all activities such as snorkeling, kayaking or tubing are completely optional. If your perfect day consists of simply relaxing on the beach and enjoying the peace and quiet, that’s just as possible!
Does tubing cost extra?
No, tubing is already included in the tour price. All you need to bring is the desire for a bit of adrenaline.
Do the tours also take place in the rain?
Our tours take place in all weathers – rain or shine. We only have to cancel the tour in extreme weather conditions that make safe access impossible.
Do you also go to Lake McKenzie and the Maheno shipwreck?
No, our tours only visit the remote, untouched west coast of K’gari (Fraser Island). Places like Lake McKenzie or the Maheno wreck in the island’s interior or on the east coast are not on the program.
Is the equipment for snorkeling and kayaking provided?
Yes, all equipment for snorkeling and kayaking is included in the price. If you prefer to bring your own equipment, you are welcome to do so.
Which meals are included?
The price includes a delicious buffet lunch and a tasty morning and afternoon snack. There is also a licensed bar on board where you can buy drinks. We are happy to take your special dietary requirements into account – please indicate these directly when booking.
What should I bring with me?
Pack your bag as if you were spending a day at the beach. We recommend: Swimwear, towel, sunglasses, hat, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water bottle and of course a camera or cell phone for your memories.
Which places do we visit on K'gari?
We head for up to three remote locations on the west coast of K’gari – for example Wathumba, Awinya and Bowarrady Creeks. The route varies depending on the tide and weather conditions, so you can always enjoy the best spots and experiences.
