The famous Tangalooma Shipwrecks are the most spectacular diving spot on the island. There are 15 deliberately sunk ships here, which have formed a fascinating artificial reef since 1963. Discover colorful corals, schools of tropical reef fish and look out for turtles, rays, nudibranchs and even wobbegong sharks during your dive.

Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Your day starts early with check-in at 6:30 am at Tangalooma Wharf (220 Holt St, Pinkenba). The ferry departs at 7:30 am and takes you to Moreton Island in just over an hour.

After your arrival at around 8:45 am, you will be greeted at the end of the jetty by your Adventure Moreton Island team. After a short introduction, your adventure starts at 9:30 am: diving, kayaking, stand-up paddling, snorkeling or simply enjoying the resort facilities – the day is all yours.

In the afternoon, you check in at the ferry departure zone at 3:30 pm. The return journey takes you back to Brisbane at 4:00 pm, where you arrive at Tangalooma Wharf at around 5:15 pm – just in time to enjoy a relaxing end to the evening.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations within 2 days of the start date will be charged a fee of 20$.
  • Cancellations within 1 day before the start date will be charged a fee of 100%.

The dive takes place at a depth of 2-12 meters.

Your package includes various land activities such as golf, squash, tennis, volleyball, badminton, basketball, cricket and table tennis – perfect for keeping active away from the beach.

Yes, there are several cafés and restaurants in the resort with a wide selection of food and drinks.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. However, please note that Tangalooma is a licensed facility and therefore no alcohol may be brought in.

If the weather is so bad that the tour would be dangerous or unpleasant, it may be canceled.

For safety reasons, the transparent kayaks cannot be rented individually. However, you can take part in the guided 1.5-hour clear-bottom kayak tour or hire a standard kayak at any time.

The return journey on the ferry starts at 16:00, check-in is 30 minutes before departure. Depending on weather and sea conditions, you will be back in Brisbane around 5:30 pm.
