Where can I park?
Paid parking is available at the Pier Shopping Complex/Shangri-La Hotel, directly opposite the Reef Fleet Terminal.
Are hotel transfers available?
Yes – air-conditioned bus transfers from Cairns City Hotels are available on request from the operator: Return transfer: AUD $27 per adult, AUD $17 per child (only available for 09:00 tour) Northern Beaches: Pick-up available (to Ellis Beach) for AUD $38 per adult, AUD $25 per child
Do I have to check in on the day of travel?
No – check-in at the Reef Fleet Terminal is no longer necessary. Guests check in directly at the boat (Big Cat or Reef Rocket) at Marlin Wharf. The day before you will receive an email & SMS with all the details and a map of the marina.
Can I take a stroller with me?
Yes – all boats are baby carriage friendly. However, please note that the beaches are not suitable, but there are boardwalks and paths on the island. Baby carriages can be stowed on board the Big Cat if required.
How long does the trip to Green Island take?
The journey takes approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Will I get seasick?
Our stable catamarans ensure a smooth ride, but seasickness depends on individual sensitivity. We provide free ginger tablets (to be taken approx. 30 minutes before departure as a preventative measure). If you are known to be susceptible, we recommend that you also take your own travel tablets.
