Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type.

Your day begins with a special experience: meet the Traditional Owners, the proud descendants of the Yidinji and Mbabaram peoples, at the impressive Cathedral Fig Tree. During a 45-minute guided tour, you will learn more about the culture of the rainforest, traditional tools and stories that have been passed down for generations.

Then it’s off to the Babinda Boulders, a magical place full of legends and one of the most beautiful natural pools in the region – perfect for a refreshing dip. Afterwards, adventure awaits at Josephine Falls: dare to slide down the natural rock slide or simply enjoy the cool water.

From there you drive to Crawfords Lookout, where you have a spectacular view of the deep gorges and dense rainforest of Wooroonooran National Park. Continue to the famous Millaa Millaa Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Australia – ideal for a dip or a souvenir photo.

At lunchtime, stop off at the Top Rail Restaurant in Malanda and enjoy a delicious meal before ending the afternoon at the idyllic Lake Eacham. This deep blue crater lake invites you to take one last dip in the water – a perfect end to the day before you return to Cairns.
