Hobart – Strahan
Journey through Tasmania’s wild west coast. Walk under the world’s tallest trees in Mount Field National Park and marvel at Russell Falls. Continue to Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, Lake St. Clair, and through Franklin Gordon National Park. Passing Queenstown, we reach the idyllic harbor town of Strahan. Overnight stay: Strahan

West Coast
Discover Tasmania’s wild west coast. Choose between a hike through rainforest and the Henty Sand Dunes or a Gordon River Cruise (optional) with stops on Sarah Island and in the Huon Pine Forest. Finish with a visit to Ocean Beach, Tasmania’s longest sandy beach. Overnight stay: Strahan

Cradle Mountain
Explore the UNESCO-protected Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair region. Options: easy hike at Dove Lake or more challenging ascent to Marion’s Lookout. With a bit of luck, you might spot wombats. Stop in the artists’ village of Sheffield, then continue to Launceston. Overnight stay: Launceston

Launceston – Bicheno
Walk through Cataract Gorge, then lunch in St. Helens. Explore the Bay of Fires with its white beaches, orange-red rocks and turquoise-blue sea – a place of great cultural significance for the Palawa. In the evening, arrive in the fishing village of Bicheno, where little penguins come ashore. Overnight stay: Bicheno

Freycinet – Hobart
Visit Freycinet National Park with the pink Hazards Mountains. Choose between the challenging hike up Mt Amos or the moderate trail to Wineglass Bay Lookout with descent to the beach. Finish at Cape Tourville and return to Hobart along the Great Eastern Drive. Overnight stay: Hobart
