Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type.

Tomorrow
Departure from Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport) in the direction of Ayers Rock. On the way, we stop at the Mt. Connor lookout, the so-called “false Uluru”, to get a first glimpse of the mighty red mountain. A short stopover in Curtin Springs gives us the opportunity to use the toilet before we arrive at our campsite for lunch.

Noon:
After lunch, we visit the Aboriginal Cultural Center of the Red Centre to learn more about the cultural, ecological, historical and geological significance of this unique national park. We then head to the foot of Uluru, where we experience the impressive size and splendor of the monolith. On the way to Mutitjulu Waterhole, we discover sacred rock paintings in family caves and hear the creation stories of Kuniya and Liru before continuing our base walk towards Kuniya Piti. We continue via sacred sites to Kantju Gorge to discover Central Australia’s highest waterfall, an elders’ cave and the world’s oldest larder.

Evening:
We end the day with a spectacular sunset over Uluru, while dinner is prepared for you at Panorama.

Morning:
Rise early and enjoy a light breakfast before setting off for a breathtaking sunrise in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Noon:
We then discover the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta and set off on a hike through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge to marvel at the mighty conglomerate rock formations.

Afternoon/evening:
In the afternoon, we travel on towards Kings Canyon to experience the sunset in the outback, followed by a hearty dinner around the campfire at our campsite.

Morning:
Get up early to explore the impressive Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and experience the ancient landscapes and sacred sites of the Ulpanyali and Lilla peoples. At the crown jewel of Watarrka National Park, 100 meter high rock faces, deep sandstone gorges and breathtaking views await us. Equipped with water, a hat and sturdy shoes, we explore the scenic highlights of the canyon on foot.

Afternoon:
After a well-deserved break, we drive back to Alice Springs, where we arrive at around 5:30 pm and end our unforgettable tour through Central Australia.
