From what age is this tour suitable?
This tour is suitable for children aged 6 and over. It is not suitable for infants or children under the age of 6 due to the nature of the tour. Children between the ages of 6 and 17 must be accommodated in standard private rooms and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How fit do I need to be for this tour?
You should have a moderate level of fitness to complete the hikes. The trails can be up to 3 km long, often over steep or rocky sections and in direct sunlight. The length and difficulty of the hikes are at the discretion of the guide to ensure the safety of all guests. A medical certificate is required for people over 70 years of age (at least 30 days before the trip).
Are special dietary requirements taken into account?
Yes, please inform us of any special dietary requirements or medical conditions at the time of booking or a few days before departure so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
Are the national park fees included?
Yes, the national park fees are included in the tour price. This covers entry to three national parks: Grampians National Park, Great Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park. Park passes cannot be purchased separately by guests not on the tour.
What do we eat on the tour?
Most meals are prepared by the tour guides and consist of simple camping dishes. Occasionally, meals are also provided directly by the accommodation. You will be asked to help prepare, clean up and load and unload the vehicle – this is also a good opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers.
Where do we spend the night?
Due to limited accommodation in the region, we may have to split the group into different accommodation depending on the room type booked. Guests who book a Basic Dorm bed will share a room with other solo travelers, preferably of the same sex, but not guaranteed.
How much luggage can I bring?
Please only bring small, soft overnight or hand luggage weighing up to 15 kg, as the storage space in the vehicle is limited. Large suitcases or oversized luggage can be left at the hotel. The tour is not suitable for people who are dependent on aids such as wheelchairs, walkers or baby carriages.
