Do I have to drive myself when I book a tour?
No, don’t worry! You don’t have to drive yourself if you don’t want to. Every driver also needs a good co-pilot – to turn up the music and operate the walkie-talkie.
How cold is it on K'gari Fraser Island in winter?
June to August is Australian winter (also the dry season). It can get very cold in the evenings. So bring warm clothes with you. We will also provide you with blankets and hot water bottles.
When do the K'gari Fraser Island Adventure Tours start?
Our 3-day long tours depart from Noosa and Rainbow Beach every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
How many people fit in a 4WD?
There is space for up to 8 people per vehicle.
Can I book a private room?
Yes, it is possible to book a private room – subject to availability. As this option is very popular, we recommend booking at least 3 months in advance.
Do you also offer pick-ups from Hervey Bay?
Unfortunately not, Hervey Bay is too far north. However, there is a morning bus from Hervey Bay to Rainbow Beach that arrives on time – but we can’t guarantee that.
How much luggage can I take with me?
Please only bring a small weekend bag (max. 10 kg). Larger bags are not allowed on the tour. If you are traveling from Noosa to Rainbow Beach (or vice versa), we will transport your main luggage for you free of charge. You can also store luggage in our depot in Noosa free of charge.
Where can I leave my larger luggage while I'm on tour?
Many accommodations offer free or low-cost luggage service. You can also store your luggage free of charge at our depot in Noosa.
What age is the tour suitable for?
This tour is particularly suitable for young and young-at-heart adults between the ages of 18 and 40. The reason: a full program, physically demanding activities and off-road vehicles where you have to get in 60 cm high. If you are outside this age group, please contact us before booking so that we can check together whether the tour is suitable for you.
Where can I park my car in Noosa or Rainbow Beach?
In Noosa: free parking is available directly in front of the Drop Bear HQ (3 Sanders Street, Noosaville, 4565). In Rainbow Beach: you can park for free on Cypress Ave or Spectrum Street near the Shell gas station, where our pick-up takes place at 10:00 am.
