Your adventure begins the evening before when you check in at Kingfisher Bay Resort on K’gari (Fraser Island). You can check into your room from 2 pm and spend the rest of the day relaxing – perhaps with a walk on the beach, a drink at sunset or one of the optional resort programs such as ranger walks or spa treatments.

On the first day, you start the morning with a delicious breakfast at the resort before setting off at around 9 am: your two-day 4WD group tour takes you right into the heart of the world’s largest sand island. You will travel on spectacular sandy tracks and along the beach to the most famous natural wonders of K’gari. There are plenty of stops along the way to explore lakes, rainforests and beaches. Lunch is served at the K’gari Beach Resort, where you also check in in the late afternoon. The evening ends with a relaxed dinner and free time at McKenzie’s Restaurant & Bar.

The second day begins with breakfast at the resort before your guide takes you on another exciting tour of the island’s highlights. In addition to a picnic, morning tea and exciting explanations, further scenic highlights await you – always depending on the tides and weather conditions. In the late afternoon, you will head back to the mainland on the ferry from Kingfisher Bay at around 5 pm. You will arrive in River Heads at around 5:50 pm, from where optional transfers back to Hervey Bay are available.
