How far away is Agincourt Reef and how long does it take to get there?
Agincourt Reef is located 72 km northeast of Port Douglas. The trip on our state-of-the-art wavepiercer catamaran takes around 90 minutes.
What should I bring with me?
Towel, sunscreen (we recommend reef-friendly varieties), hat, swimwear, camera or GoPro, credit card or some cash for optional activities, souvenirs or drinks. Underwater digital cameras can be rented on board. There is also a professional photo service where you can purchase pictures of your day.
Are there vegetarian options for lunch?
Yes, our daily buffet offers vegetarian options. All dishes are labeled with ingredient lists. Please contact us in advance if you have any special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free, vegan, allergies).
How big is the platform at Agincourt Reef?
At 47.5 meters long and 23.4 meters wide, our activity platform is the largest and most spacious platform on the Great Barrier Reef. It is firmly anchored in a sheltered lagoon and ensures a comfortable reef experience.
Do you have lycra suits and snorkeling equipment for all passengers?
Yes, our Lycra suits are available in sizes 2 to XXL, fins up to shoe size 13, as well as small snorkeling masks and fins for children.
Are there correction masks?
Yes, we offer free corrective masks in strengths from -2 to -8. Please contact our safety supervisors on the snorkeling deck to get the right mask.
When does the boat leave and when do we get back?
Boarding is from 9:30 am, departure at 10:00 am from Port Douglas Marina. Return to Port Douglas is around 16:30.
How long will we be at the reef?
You have 3.5 hours to enjoy the reef – enough time for snorkeling, diving and all other activities.
How deep is the water at Agincourt Reef?
The maximum depth around the platform is 8-9 meters.
How deep do you dive?
The maximum depth is up to 15 meters.
Is the tour suitable for babies and children?
Yes, children and babies are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times. We recommend wearing free life jackets or pool noodles, which are available on site. There are many family-friendly activities on the platform.
