Day
Start your day with a trip through the World Heritage-listed rainforest to Kuranda – either by bus, the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway. Even the journey there is an experience as you enjoy spectacular views of gorges, waterfalls and the dense canopy.
Once you arrive in Kuranda, you have time to explore the charming rainforest village. Stroll through the colorful markets, browse in small boutiques or treat yourself to a coffee in one of the cozy cafés.
Your adventure continues in the award-winning Rainforestation Nature Park. Here you can take an exciting tour in a historic World War II army duck, feed kangaroos, meet a rare cassowary in the Koala & Wildlife Park and get to know the culture of the indigenous people at the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience – including boomerang and spear throwing as well as traditional dances.
Optionally, you can visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, the largest butterfly enclosure in Australia, where over 1500 colorful butterflies fly around freely.
In the afternoon, you start your return journey – depending on the package you have booked, either floating over the canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or taking a leisurely ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, which takes you through impressive gorges and past thundering waterfalls back to Cairns.

Does the tour also take place in the rain?
Yes, our tours also take place in the rain – so you can experience the rainforest in all its glory! We recommend taking a small umbrella or rain jacket with you, especially in the rainy season.
