Itinerary

Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Morning: Start your tour with picturesque views of Sydney Harbour as you cross the famous Harbour Bridge. From there, continue to the Hunter Valley – one of Australia’s most famous wine-growing regions.

Morning: Visit two hand-picked boutique wineries and enjoy guided wine tastings. Discover the diversity of the region – from the famous Semillon to Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Verdelho.

Lunch break: Fortify yourself with a delicious café-style lunch at Cypress Lakes, in the heart of the picturesque Hunter Valley Village. Afterwards, you’ll have time to stroll through the small boutiques and galleries or sample more local products. A highlight is a visit to the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory, where you can learn more about the art of cheese making.

Afternoon: If time permits, you can sample other specialties – for example at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company, the British Lolly Shop, Kissofire Liqueurs or the Garden Cellars (additional tastings at your own expense).

Late afternoon: Finally, a special highlight awaits you: a structured wine tasting at our favorite winery, accompanied by an expert who will introduce you to the best wines of the house.

Evening: After an enjoyable day with wine, regional specialties and new acquaintances, we make our way back to Sydney – with stops in between to relax. You’ll be back in time to enjoy a relaxed evening in Sydney.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations within one day before the start date will be charged a fee of 100%.
  • Cancellations between 1 day and 7 days before the start date will incur a fee of 50%.
  • Cancellations between 7 days and 28 days before the start date will incur a 25% fee.

Our tour schedule and the wineries visited may change depending on group size, special events or last-minute closures. We work closely with various wineries. You will enjoy three wine tastings at different stops such as Irongate Estate, Savannah Estate, Constable, Tempus Two / Roche, Mount View, Tintilla Estate, Gun Dog, Mistletoe and many more.

No, lunch is not included in the price. You have plenty of time to explore Hunter Valley Village on your own and have lunch in one of the restaurants, cafés or pubs as you wish. Entrance to the Hunter Valley Gardens is not included.

The minimum age for alcohol consumption in Australia is 18 years (ID required). The tour is therefore not suitable for children or young people under the age of 18, as no child-friendly activities are included.

Please only bring a small bag or daypack, as the storage space in our vehicles is limited. Larger suitcases or rucksacks must be deposited in advance at the hotel or in lockers at the bus station.

Only a low fitness level is required. This tour is the perfect way to sit back, relax and enjoy a great day out with friends or family. Please note: Unfortunately our coaches are not wheelchair accessible. However, assistance dogs are welcome (please specify when booking).

No, admission to the Hunter Valley Gardens is not part of the program. However, we will stop for lunch in the nearby Hunter Valley Village, from where you can explore the surrounding area.

Yes, our tours also take place in the rain or bad weather – after all, there is hardly anything better than sitting comfortably inside with a glass of red wine. If possible, we still enjoy the scenery outside. If the weather is very bad, the wine tastings will be moved indoors. If a tour is completely canceled, we will inform you immediately.
