After departing from Rainbow Beach, take the ferry from Inskip Point to Hook Point – keep an eye out for dolphins on the way.

The tour then continues in a 4WD along the seemingly endless 75 Mile Beach, K’gari’s (Fraser Island) famous “sand highway”. The tour then heads inland along sandy tracks through heathlands and subtropical forests with satinays, kauris and mighty hardwoods.

A highlight of the day is Lake Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie) – swim in the crystal-clear water and relax on the white sandy beach. A delicious Australian bush picnic with cold beer, wine and soft drinks awaits you for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will discover Wanggoolba Creek, where ancient ferns, palms and lianas form a lush rainforest. Continue to Eli Creek, a fast-flowing freshwater stream – perfect for a refreshing dip.

Before heading back, visit the famous shipwreck of the SS Maheno, which has been a landmark on the north beach of K’gari (Fraser Island) since 1935.

Depending on the route, you will return to Rainbow Beach at around 16:00 and Noosa at around 17:30 – an unforgettable day full of adventure, nature and relaxation.
