Exact itineraries vary depending on the tour type. 

Tomorrow – meeting point & start
You meet your guide team at the Elanda Point kayak launch site in the national park, just 25 minutes north of Noosa. There you will receive your equipment, get into your expedition kayak and learn the basics for a safe and fun paddle.

Morning – Across Lake Cootharaba
Your journey begins with a leisurely trip across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba. On the way, enjoy the tranquillity of nature and familiarize yourself with your kayak.

Lunch – picnic in the countryside
Take a break at the idyllic Fig Tree Point and enjoy a delicious picnic surrounded by greenery.

Afternoon – River of Mirrors & Harry’s Hut
Then it’s on to the Upper Noosa River, through “The Narrows” section, also known as the River of Mirrors. With a bit of luck, you’ll paddle all the way to historic Harry’s Hut, where you can take a refreshing dip in the river.

Way back – with wind power
On the return trip across Lake Cootharaba, you have the opportunity to sail your kayak if conditions are favorable – a unique experience before you arrive back at the starting point.

The price is per person. If you are traveling alone, you will either get a single kayak or be put together with another solo traveler in a double kayak – so you always have a buddy for the day. If you have a preference, you can let us know at the time of booking.

The tour starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm at the latest.

Yes, our tours take place in almost all weather conditions as long as they are considered safe. Only in dangerous conditions will the tour be canceled. If it rains, you should bring a waterproof jacket and a change of clothes for afterwards.

No – the Noosa Everglades are too far south for crocodiles to be found here.
