Can you fly directly over Uluru?
No, out of respect for the cultural significance of Uluru, it is not permitted to fly directly over it. However, our helicopter flights are designed so that you can experience Uluru, Kata Tjuta and the spectacular landscape from unique perspectives and without restrictions.
When is the best time to fly to Uluru?
Basically, any time is a good time for a helicopter flight! The best time to visit is from May to the end of September – in the dry season the temperatures are pleasant and the likelihood of rain is minimal. Whether morning, noon or evening: Uluru is guaranteed to take your breath away.
Where do the flights depart from and are transfers available?
All flights depart from the centrally located Town Square Helipad at Ayers Rock Resort. In addition, we offer complimentary hotel transfers to and from the main accommodation in the region.
How do I get the best seat in the helicopter?
For safety reasons, window seats are allocated according to weight. However, our pilots plan the flight routes so that all passengers can enjoy the best views of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and the surrounding area.
What happens when the weather is bad?
We are constantly monitoring the weather conditions. If your flight cannot take place as planned, we will offer you a rebooking or a refund. Your safety and your experience are our top priority.
